How to prevent the side effects of the mask 2

How to prevent the side effects of the mask

The advice of our Spa Therapist

For two years, the mask has become an ever-present object, so much so that fashion houses have made it a real piece of clothing. Whether it is made of fabric, fine fabric, surgical or FFP2, it causes very undesirable effects on our skin.
We still don't know exactly how long we should still wear it, so it is essential to take good care of your skin immediately so as not to damage it irreparably. So here are the advice of our Spa therapist on how to prevent the side effects of the mask, for all skin types.

Dry and sensitive skin

When you have dry or sensitive skin, the mask can experience irritation that can lead to erythema, which are of medical competence, but irritation can be prevented with some small precautions: it is very important to always keep the skin well nourished and hydrated. Our cosmetic line "Bellavita il Culto" offers a day and night cream based on red Montalcino grapes and a serum based on rubifolia. For sensitive skin it is sufficient to use a day cream. In the evening, on the other hand, use a serum all over the face or only in the rubbing points of the mask if it is more irritated.

Mature skins

If the skin also tends to age, it is advisable to use both day cream and night cream and, as in the case of dry skin, use a serum all over the face in the evening. This should be applied before the night cream.

Oily skin

When you have oily skin, the mask can worsen the situation by causing the onset of blackheads (comedones) and pimples (papules and pustules) in the area covered by the device. To avoid all this it is necessary to cleanse the skin well, especially in the evening, with cleansing milk and tonic. In the evening and in the morning, apply a cream suitable for your skin type such as the one offered by our Borgo Scopeto Relax line based on olive trees and sage.
Once every 15 days it is advisable to apply a restorative mask based on grape seeds proposed by the “Bellavita il Culto” cosmetic line.

Mask in the summer

For all skin types, summer is always the worst time to wear the mask, but if we still have to do it, we therefore recommend applying a sunscreen cream that is not too oily (especially for oily skin). At Borgo Scopeto Relax we use the “Dermo 28” line, which offers sun protection with hyaluronic acid, useful for regenerating the skin, both for the face and for the body.

We hope that these tips from our spe therapist on how to prevent the side effects of the mask can help you while waiting to finally be able to put the bad memories of this pandemic behind us.
